Duties and responsibilities can include (but are not limited to):

• Has primary oversight and management of pharmacy operations.
• Perform these duties while practicing pharmacy:
  • Verify prescription authenticity
  • Resolve prescription discrepancies and seek clarification when necessary
  • Validate prescription order), proper labeling, and conducts dispensing and
    filling of medication and medical device orders.
  • Ensure delivery processes are followed by pharmacy staff
• Practices within scope of licensure and maintains active license.
• Develops and maintains policies, procedures and processes that comply with
  regulations.
• Implements training programs to staff including training on policies and
  procedures and current regulations from regulatory agencies where applicable.
• Maintains all pharmacy documentation and ensures documents and reference
  materials are current.
• Establishes and maintains strict controls and accountability for all products
  stored, dispensed and administered to patients.
• Provide patient telephone consultations where required.
• Directs all inventories to ensure that they are accurately and correctly conducted.
• Maintains an appropriate staffing level of skilled staff to ensure that the services
  and responsibilities of the pharmacy are provided in a timely and quality manner.
• Creates an environment that encourages staff to report/resolve complicated
  issues and to be creative in improving patient care and services
• Responds promptly to compliance issues and takes corrective actions as
  needed.

The person in this position must have:

• Pharmacy degree from an accredited school of pharmacy.
• An active, valid pharmacist license that is in good standing with no restrictions.
• Professional Experience: 3+ years pharmacy practice experience.
• Ability to prioritize and work independently.
• Effectively manage all levels of staff working in the pharmacy
• Provide leadership and guidance to pharmacy team and have ability to work
  cooperatively.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal.
